One of the most fabulous places on my little island of Puerto Rico for weddings and other events is Hacienda Siesta Alegre, about 30 miles from the airport. Located at the foot of the El Yunque Rainforest in Río Grande. Siesta Alegre offers a Spanish colonial atmosphere and style, with a variety of terraces, balconies, interior patios, and beautiful gardens with unique character. The hacienda has a cozy, warm, intimate, and most importantly romantic atmosphere. In addition to all the wonderful spaces, it has around 10 rooms, 4 of which are included when booking weddings.

Siesta Alegre is rented for events for around 4 to 6 hours, bar packages include non-alcoholic options, rooms available for rent, access for the disabled as well as ample parking. They provide cleaning staff before, during, and after each event.

Random COVID-19 testing will no longer be conducted for passengers and crew upon arrival in the Dominican Republic. However, when necessary, random test operations can be performed. Passengers who present their Vaccination Card will be exempt from random tests.

All foreign citizens who enter the Dominican Republic, exclusively for tourism purposes, must have a valid passport during their stay and departure from the country. Also all travelers must complete an electronic entry and exit form (e-ticket) prior to arrival, which includes a health declaration.

This magical place is the first farm/culinary lodge in Puerto Rico. The Pretext is located in Cayey, Puerto Rico, one hour from the capital San Juan. It has a phenomenal view of the southern area of the island. It is a private residence that its owners decided to share with others. They have agroecological planting, an agroforestry area, and fruit trees. After overcoming the ravages of Hurricane Maria, they have now added 2 more villas and 2 more Villas are under construction.

This Property is a quiet place in the countryside where you can relax, pamper yourself and share in an intimate environment. The Pretext is for adults only and they only work with reservations. Unfortunately, they do not allow pets as they have their own animals on the property and do not want conflicts between them.

El Pretexto offers various events such as pop-up and farm-to-table dinners. It also offers the opportunity to celebrate private events such as weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. One of the events that caught our attention is El Pretexto Food Experience.
