When planning a Caribbean honeymoon or destination wedding, one of the biggest decisions is choosing between an all-inclusive resort and a boutique hotel. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide: All-Inclusive Resorts - Pros: - Everything is included—meals, drinks, and activities—making it easy to budget. - Resorts like Sandals, Secrets, and Excellence offer luxurious amenities, multiple dining options, and stunning wedding packages. - Great for larger groups, as they often have group discounts and perks. - Cons: - Can feel less private, especially at larger resorts. - May lack the personalized touch of a boutique hotel. Boutique Hotels - Pros: - Intimate and unique, perfect for couples seeking privacy. - Often located in stunning, off-the-beaten-path settings. - Allows for more customization and personal touches. - Cons: - Fewer amenities and dining options. - May require more planning, as everything isn’t included. Ultimately, the choice depends on your priorities. If you want convenience and luxury, an all-inclusive resort is the way to go. If you value privacy and a one-of-a-kind experience, a boutique hotel might be your best bet. Need help deciding? Let me guide you to the perfect option for your Caribbean honeymoon or wedding!

Located at the foot of the El Yunque Rainforest in Río Grande. Siesta Alegre offers a Spanish colonial atmosphere and style, with a variety of terraces, balconies, interior patios, and beautiful gardens with unique character. The hacienda has a cozy, warm, intimate, and most importantly romantic atmosphere. In addition to all the wonderful spaces, it has around 10 rooms, 4 of which are included when booking weddings. Siesta Alegre is rented for events for around 4 to 6 hours, bar packages include non-alcoholic options, rooms available for rent, access for the disabled as well as ample parking. They provide cleaning staff before, during, and after each event. Por Qué Puerto Rico Es Uno de los Mejores Destinos del Caribe para Parejas

Maria Isabel Martinez Felix • May 23, 2026

No Necesitas Pasaporte Si Viajas Desde Estados Unidos

Perfecto Para Parejas Que Quieren Relax Y Diversión

Puedes:

  • relajarte en playas hermosas
  • disfrutar spas y hoteles boutique
  • explorar la naturaleza
  • visitar el rainforest
  • hacer un road trip
  • disfrutar nightlife

Rio Grande, Puerto Rico One of the most fabulous places on my little island of Puerto Rico for weddings and other events is Hacienda Siesta Alegre, about 30 miles from the airport.
